What is RSS?

RSS (that stands for Really Simple Syndication) feeds allow you to stay current with the news you want, at your own convenience. Using the RSS reader of your choice, you can get the latest Destination news headlines delivered to your RSS reader. You save time because you don’t need to visit each website individually. You ensure privacy by not needing to join each website’s e-mail newsletter.

How to use RSS feeds?

RSS is built right into both the newest versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox - simply click on the big orange RSS button at the top left of the Destination2010 website.

(If you’re using an older browser, you’ll need to download an RSS Reader or an RSS web module. A variety of RSS Readers are available for different platforms. Some popular feed readers include Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader (Windows) and NewsGator (Windows—integrates with Outlook).) There are also a number of web-based RSS feed-readers available. My Yahoo, Bloglines and Google Reader are the most popular. It just takes a minute to set this up. Perhaps the easiest way is to upgrade your browser to IE 7.

If you want the news on your mobile device, NewsGator has RSS reader software that will work in Blackberry & Windows Mobile devices.

If you already have a reader such as Google RSS Reader set up, the headlines will be delivered there as soon as we post the next news report on the Destination2010 website.
